HEXKIT ACADEMY
What students learn
For ages 11 to 18 (grades 6 to 12).
Cobot Foundations is hands-on time on a real 6-axis industrial cobot cell. Teach pendant work and shop judgment connect to careers in robotics, manufacturing, and related automation work. Class time covers safety before motion, teach pendant time, a short program, and a close on the cell. The same habits show up in the new manufacturing era: US chip and GPU plants, where clean rooms use cobots for careful, repeated handling. This class is not a fab credential. The course ladder is on Courses.
We confirm every date 5 days before it starts. If a date doesn't fill, you choose: move to the next weekend, house credit for any upcoming course, or a full refund.

What the weekend covers
- Safety before motion. Students pass a safety gate before anyone jogs the arm.
- Teach pendant time. Every student gets hands-on time on the real cell, not a seat in the back.
- A short program. Plan a move, run it on the arm, and keep the files plus a demo video.
- Close the cell. Tooling, a check of the equipment, and a reliability run to end the weekend.
What they take home
Students leave the workshop with their program files, a demo video of the program running on the real arm, and a Cobot Foundations certificate of completion for their portfolio. The certificate documents completed coursework. It is not an accredited credential and it is not college credit.
