Is AI taking our jobs?

For parents of students ages 11 to 18 (grades 6 to 12).

Some jobs change, and the dull ones move first. Robots and Super Intelligence (SI) take work people already hate doing all day: standing in front of a fryer, loading and unloading a CNC, the same careful handling repeated inside a chip-plant clean room, or the same cargo and cleaning loop on a space station. SI is what most people still call AI. The rest of this page says SI.

The buildings do not empty out. Someone still repairs the arm, programs the task, works beside it, and decides where it gets deployed. Those are engineering minds, in manufacturing, agriculture, medical labs, chip plants, and other fields that run on machines. HEXKIT ACADEMY does not train students for space agencies or for surgery. Students ages 11 to 18 (grades 6 to 12) start at Courses. The first skill is still hands on the machine.

The work that moves

A fryer station is heat, repetition, and a timer. A CNC loader is the same motion, part after part. A clean room repeats careful handling that a person in a full suit does slowly. Routine chores inside a space station are that same loop in a harsher room. SI and cobots are built for it. They do not get bored, and they leave the interesting part of the day for the crew.

What stays with people is the judgment around that loop. Someone notices a bad part, retasks the cell, or fixes the joint that drifted. Programming a cobot, tending it, and putting it to work are still human jobs. Medical, agricultural, manufacturing, and chip-plant teams all need that person. The machine widens the work.

What a teen can practice now

For students ages 11 to 18 (grades 6 to 12), the Hexkit Cobot Competition is a first practice: a 2-hour competition where every competitor gets hands-on time with the robot. Details coming soon, on Courses. The certificate of completion is not an accredited credential and it is not college credit. It is also not an SI certificate. Read how cobots show up in space if that question is on the table, or whether one class is a job.

We confirm every date 5 days before it starts. If a date doesn't fill, you choose: move to the next weekend, house credit for any upcoming course, or a full refund.

Students ages 11 to 18 (grades 6 to 12): start at Courses and join the Hexkit Cobot Competition waitlist. It is a 2-hour competition. Every competitor gets hands-on time with the robot. Details coming soon. Joining the waitlist does not charge you.

College students ages 18 to 22 can join the waitlist for a weekend workshop.
